The Phelps-Hathaway Connecticut Queen Anne Cherrywood Bonnet Top Highboy, with carved original central finial, scoop-carved fans in upper and lower section, cabriole legs ending in pad feet, in original finish and retaining the original hardware. Suffield-Windsor Area of Connecticut, circa 1750-65 (dated 1761). Old "make do" repair to broken right rear leg, right side waist molding old replacement, knee returns and drop finials later replacements. On loan and exhibited since 1988 at Wadsworth Athenaeum Museum of Art, Hartford CT.
